Topics we will cover

Our mini-course will improve your understanding of what specific challenges you should expect when leading a virtual team. You will walk away with specific and proven, evidence-based solutions and approached. We will also share lots of management tactics, tips and tools. And we will discuss how you can improve your personal resilience as leaders in times of big disruption – how to bounce forward and not just bounce back. Finally, the world will not return to ‘what was normal’ after COVID-19 and your organization may well up its virtual ways of working in permanent fashion for the long term. What strategies to choose to turn the current situation into an opportunity?

Now as for your practical questions…

It will have a six week duration and be cohort based. Cohorts will consist of 10 to 12 people maximum to provide interactivity as well as personalized attention. Depending on what program tier you choose, you will gain from:

  • Weekly narrated slide decks
  • Worksheets to apply what you have learned and to provide for reflection
  • Curated readings and podcast episodes
  • Four group coaching calls and two ‘drop in’ hours with the coach for Q&A
  • Use of cases and scenarios to apply what you have learned
  • Instant chatting function for peer support and access to the coach
  • Personalized, in-depth coaching support

They will all be scheduled at the same time each week, for easy scheduling (exact time will be determined based on the composition of each cohort).

You should expect it to take 1-2 hours of your time per week.

Yes, we will use the calls to showcase and practice how virtual meetings need to be interactive in order to be effective and engaging.

You will be encouraged to use your work sheets to reflect on your application of lessons learned in your teams. We will also sometimes use case studies or scenarios to practice the skills you will have learned. Finally, all participants will be given an opportunity to host a section of a virtual meeting based on the virtual facilitation practices you will have learned, as a form of practicum.

You will be invoiced for the mini-course upon registration, once new course dates have been determined. We understand that there may be circumstances in which you may need to cancel. In that case, we are happy to issue refunds as long as you have notified us at least five (5) business days before the start date (minus a $50 administration fee.)
